Golden Road Brewing
5410 W San Fernando Road
Los Angeles, CA 90039

Is it one of the 360 sunny days of the year in Los Angeles? Chances are: yes. In which case, you should load your four-legged best friend in the backseat, roll the windows down, and take the golden state freeway (aka the 5) to Golden Road Brewing. You’ll head north of Hollywood to Glendale; just hop off when you see the big blue industrial building, signifying your arrival at a fantastic dog friendly brewery reminiscent of a European beer garden.

Here, your pooch can pant and sprawl in the sunshine, or wander and wag around the patron-filled astroturf patio, while you sip on Point the Way IPA and munch on a brunch fit for a star. The menu caters generously to the vegan crowd with avocado tacos and jackfruit sandwiches, but doesn’t forget the carnivores with hearty burgers, loaded fries…and of course, bacon.

Dogs aren’t allowed inside, but above the wrap-around patio sits the center of hops and delicious pub fare. Mosey into the bar and grab a cold one from the chalkboard wall and some biscuits for the furry patron. Rambunctious yet delightful, the indoor area holds TVs, a modern jukebox (play tunes from your phone!), and gold touches, providing a family friendly, neighborhood feel that permeates the whole property.

And, perhaps most importantly, Golden Road is serious about welcoming your dog–they’ve marked his territory on a special part of the patio, in addition to the pub treats. They also periodically host fundraisers to support local shelters.

Whether you come for brunch on the weekend or stop by for an after work pick-me-up, Fido is sure to find friends to frolic with. Come in, grab a pub pretzel and a brew, and let your dog munch on some treats in the summer sun for an imbibe-fest that’s just the right amount of rowdy.
