801 N 3rd Street
Philadelphia, PA 19123
North 3rd is a cozy pub located in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties on, you guessed it, North 3rd Street. Undoubtedly, the dog friendly outdoor seating is a prime spot for people watching with your pooch in Philly’s coolest neighborhood (did we mention Edgar Allan Poe once lived here?).
When you get your bill after dining at North 3rd, chances are you’ll ask your waitress if she’s made a mistake. “Don’t I owe you more money?” The answer is no. The delicious food menu that boasts both homemade comfort foods and healthy options alike is incredibly affordable. If you’re really trying to watch your wallet, the tomato soup and grilled cheese combo will fill you up for 6 bucks…and tastes like a meal that a person with a real salary would order for themselves.
The drink menu won’t break the bank either. Drafts are all $6 and under with craft beers you’ve seen all over the city for way more dollars. If you’re feeling sassy, try the $8 Blood Orange Margarita—a tasty twist on the drink everyone’s overindulged in at one time or another.
As with many up-and-coming neighborhoods, Northern Liberties has just enough hipsteresque charm to draw you in and make you want to stay for awhile. While you rest your paws on North 3rd’s patio, your pooch will surely learn that hipster pets are the best kind of pets, judging by the number of adoring looks and head pats received. Get there early on the weekend and score an outdoor table for brunch…the greatest meal, well, ever. With the affordable and tasty food and drinks, you’ll have a hard time deciphering your happy panting from your dog’s.
