Where You’ll Stay
Head to Memphis, Tennessee, y’all! And enjoy the birthplace of Rock N’ Roll this summer with your best four-legged friend. This penthouse Airbnb is part of a renovated downtown apartment building that’s so beautiful, you’ll feel like you’re staying in a fancy hotel without shelling out all your hard earned cheddar. Everywhere you turn in these top-floor apartments offers a grand view of the city, and what dog doesn’t love a view? Your pooch’s paws will be spoiled by the preserved 1900’s era marble floors and grand staircase of the lobby.
Why We Love It
Sun Studio, the very birthplace of Rock N’ Roll, is just a short walk from the apartment building. You’ll be dazzled by how much history is jam-packed into such a tiny studio. Hear original recordings from Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more during the fun tour. Hop on the studio’s free shuttle to Graceland, Elvis Presley’s beloved mansion, and learn more about The King and his city. The iconic Beale Street is another nearby gem, home to blues clubs and restaurants that are perfect for your nighttime entertainment needs. The apartment is also close to a number of dog parks, should your dog feel like mingling with the local pups.
Between the sight-seeing and the world’s best barbecue, Memphis will tucker you out. Your dog will not be the only one panting, tongue out and ready to fall asleep on the floor. You want to stay in a comfy, cozy place where you can kick back and unwind. With high-quality amenities and modern decor, this is the perfect spot to crash after a full day of fun.
What You Need To Know
Staying in this historical building will set you back $900 a week. Not bad considering the great location and luxuriousness of the space (there’s even a doorman). Check in at your leisure 3:00 PM or later, and check out by 11:00 AM. Your pup will need to bring his or her own bag of necessities. Television, high-speed internet, and central A/C make this a nice escape for the heat-sensitive. There are several Airbnb apartments available in the building and, due to high interest, the owner has hired a small staff to help guests easily make reservations.
Editor’s Note: As always, we recommend that you check with the Airbnb homeowner for specific restrictions on breed, size, or number of dogs allowed in the residence.
