The Oinkster is all about the oinks and the woofs: this fine-dining chef-run joint is serving up American classics fast-casual style, and welcoming your furry friend to join in the meat feast.

If you haven’t already guessed, this probably isn’t the place to go during your vegan cleanse. They specialize in slow roasted pork, house-cured pastrami, juicy Angus burgers, and obligatorily accompaniments: milkshakes and cupcakes.

Their beefed up classics are high caliber flavor and low caliber clean eating—to put it into perspective, Guy Fieri stuffed his goateed face here on Diner’s, Drive-Ins, and Dives. So how about indulging your buddy in a bite? Stop into the original in Eagle Rock location, or enjoy all the sights of the Hollywood location. Each has a chill patio for you and your dog to grub, so you really can’t go wrong.

Your tastebuds (and the pooch’s) are in for a treat. The Bleu BurgerPiggy Fries (Belgian Fries topped with house-made Thousand Island, caramelized onions, and shredded cheddar cheese…’nuff said), and whatever their shake of the month are among the best choices. Forget about your summer bod for just one sec—you won’t regret it. Seriously, no one is going to blame you for indulging in something that looks this delicious.

Sidenote: You missed this year’s Burger Week, their delicious seven-day challenge. Next year, prepare to eat one of their special burgers every day for a week to win an Oinkster T-shirt and bragging rights. Have your dog sit out and cheer you on for this one (no sneaking him scraps under table…that would be frowned upon).

Best for: Los Angeles burger lovers, weekend indulgers, drooling carnivores, mutts with an appetite
