The Olde Pink House
29 Abercorn Street
“You’re kidding me, right?” is most likely the first thing that comes out of your mouth when you walk up to the jaw-dropping 18th century mansion that is The Olde Pink House. Decorated in all of the things we love about Savannah—audacious colors, rooms larger than your first home, and a wait staff that knows the difference between your forks.
Circa 1771, that’s a lot of history and the place oozes that Southern charm that you see in the movies and you daydream about while you’re stuck behind a Tesla.
Fried green tomato, Portobello mushroom, artichoke fritters, shrimp grits, crab cakes, we could go on and on. Ok, we will, they also have corn bread fried oysters, blue crab beignets, and obviously mac and cheese.
And then there’s the dog friendly part. At this dog friendly Savannah establishment, you can bring yours to the outdoor area and sip on Old Fashions while making sure to sound-out-every-syllable when you speak. Nothing moves quick around these parts, and for a dog lover, that’s exactly what we want.
