Diner is a hipster’s paradise—but then again, it is in Williamsburg, so let’s not act too surprised.
On a nice day, head to Diner’s dog friendly patio to enjoy inventive American eats from the short menu that changes daily. No matter the time of day—the dinner menu is equally as good as the brunch menu [a rare find at a diner].
Brunch: Pairs well with a Blood Mary.
Dinner: Pairs well with beer. Any beer.
This is comfort food that’s kind of trendy and always organic—you know the drill, Williamsburg. The “cool” factor here not only comes from the handwritten menu on your table and the oddly charming dilapidated building, but also the element of surprise that comes from the ever-changing options.
On your next casual [read: Tinder] date, consider leaving your four-legged friend at home in order to slip into one of the cozy booths inside the grunge-meets-chic building [the aesthetic offers a delightful contrast to the polished culinary experience].
Bottom line: Diner is almost too cool, but not so cool that the staff doesn’t welcome you and your dog wholeheartedly.
