3009 Paseo Drive
Oklahoma City, OK 73103
Ooooohhh-klahoma. Forever the place people “think they’ve driven through once” is slowly becoming a good spot to spend a weekend.
Cheap prices, nice people, and…more cheap prices. Not to mention an unwavering love of dogs, most likely due to being half-Southern.
And nowhere are those three things (cheap + nice + dogs) more prominent than at Picasso Café.
Granted, we’re always a bit wary of any place that doesn’t seem to put a lot of thought into their name. But we’re not keen on judging a book by its cover, so we’ll just blame the lack of creativity on being in Oklahoma. They make up for it on the inside.
Now, what you get at Picasso is some of the best farm-to-table in town (that doesn’t include a smoker), an almost-avant-garde crowd, an excellent wine selection (one of their distributors told us this spot is considered to be the most cultured when it comes to consumption). And all this on a covered dog friendly patio smack dab in the middle of the city’s Paseo District.
Also worth mentioning is its award-winning brunch. Nothing we haven’t seen before, but done in that wonderful Okie style of being really, really happy that you’re here, especially if you’re not from here.
Plan it right and you’ll catch some local live music as well.
So stop by and give Picasso, the city, and state a bit of your time.
