Norm’s Eatery & Ale House
460 N 36th Street
Seattle, WA 98103

Norm’s a dog.

We just wanted to get that out early, just in case you were wondering how dog friendly Norm’s Eatery & Ale House is. And if the name isn’t enough to convince you how seriously crazy this bar is about dogs, then how about a photo of Norm on the sign? Or their slogan? “Sit…and stay.”

You get the idea. But Norm’s is so much more. In fact, the rest of this article should be read as if it were written by dogs for dogs who are looking for nice spots they can also take their humans.

Fur’st off, it’s all about the happy hour. Three whole hours of it, from 4-7. And ridiculous deals on those beverages humans like to drink and then hump each other’s legs while watching something called “Netflix.”

Second, the human food selection. Apparently these fools eat different things each day. Dunno. Norm’s has a killer breakfast, though, as well as some of the best coconut shrimp in the game.

Third, trivia night. As if it weren’t enough to walk on two legs and have opposable thumbs, they continue to look for excuses to get drunk, as if we haven’t been privy to them coming home after a few martinis and insisting on smelling our feet, claiming “Frito Toes!” But yeah, lots of people go to this thing, so we suppose it’s popular.

And last, but not least, the friendliness. If the clientele there were a nose, then Norm’s would be a bottom. We mean that in the best possible way.

Take ’em.
Let them run free.
And don’t forget to clean up after them on the way home.
