You have a decent career job, friends who are good enough to throw back a few beers with on the weekends, and a nice home in a state you love. You may or may not be single, but it’s fine either way because there’s always Tinder. Yet, despite your apparent success, something’s missing. Ah! Yes, a dog. …Labradoodle
Whether you grew up in a beachside residence or recently retired from 40+ years of selling used cars, Florida is a haven where people seek a relaxing lifestyle. Just look at the 105 million tourists that invade the state year round to enjoy its theme parks, beautiful resorts, and year-round sunshine. These tourists want a taste of what you Floridian residents already have: a permanent vacation. What pet has been bred to be adaptable, friendly, and energetic (AKA the perfect vacation buddy)? The Labradoodle!

A “designer hybrid” of two wonderful dogs, the intention of breeding Labrador Retrievers and Poodles was to create incredible pets. Florida is where people flock to seek fun, from the epic rides at Disney World, Harry Potter Land, and Universal Studios to the golf resorts, swamp tours, nightclubs, and so much more. It’s necessary that a Floridian have a dog that loves adventure. The Labradoodle is just that: a cheerful thrill seeker who approaches life with gusto. They love water, exercise, and plain old fashioned family fun.

Labradoodles are a top choice for therapy dogs, too, because of their sweet dispositions and trainability. That bodes well for the slower-paced Floridians (of which there are quite a few). These dogs are as happy to cuddle up on a couch as they are to play fetch. WARNING: If Labradoodles don’t get enough exercise and affection they tend to be very vocal about their neglect. Do your neighbors a favor and treat your future Labradoodle with the same love they give you. Here are some sources that can help you adopt a Labradoodle of your very own.
