If you live in Hawaii, let us first say—from the mainland in our bulky sweaters and socks up to our butt cheeks—that you are super lucky! The only thing that could possibly make your sweet island lifestyle even sweeter (aside from a piña colada and a freshly waxed surfboard) is a pet Pomeranian. Like the state of Hawaii, Pomeranians are tiny with huge personalities. The eight main islands of the state are stunning and have endless possibilities for adventure. Pomeranians are curious dogs that love walks, making them a perfect companion for the national parks, historical temples, picturesque hiking trails, and beachy jaunts. With a passion for exploring, these dogs are fantastic company for the Hawaiian family. Show off your Pom’s obedience with a beach side game of fetch.
We’d also like to point out that Hawaii was formed by volcanic eruptions and is still home to active volcanoes. Likewise, the Pomeranian bark is like a volcanic eruption and is notably loud for such a small animal (they range from only three to seven pounds). Surprisingly, these minuscule pups make wonderful guard dogs because they are so vocal. Like the vacationers who flock to Hawaii year round, these pups have short attention spans and a moderate energy level. They like short, fun training sessions and activities paired with plenty of relaxation. From head-on adventuring to chilling out, Pomeranians are built for the Hawaiian lifestyle.
